Ramla il-Ħamra
The red-sand beach. Calypso's cave is in the cliff above. There are Roman ruins under the sand.
Ħondoq ir-Rummien
Small sandy cove facing Comino. Locals' swimming spot, especially after work in summer.
Qbajjar Salt Pans
Three kilometres of rock-cut pans, 350 years of family tradition, still harvested every August.
Cittadella
Fortified hilltop in the middle of Victoria. Cathedral, Bishop's Palace, four small museums.
Xlendi Bay
Working fishing village in a steep-sided bay. Diving, swimming, the best octopus on the island.
Daħlet Qorrot
Pebbly inlet with cave-houses cut by fishermen into the cliff base. Quiet even in August.
Things people ask first
Anyone 21 or older with a full, valid car driving licence (Category B). Bring the physical card. Provisional / learner licences are not accepted.
On the day. Cash or card (3% surcharge on cards). For peak Saturdays in summer we ask for a 25% refundable deposit at booking — it comes off the total on the day.
Safety first. We reschedule for free, no charges. Because you pay on the day, weather changes cost you nothing.
Once the ferry leaves Malta, send us a WhatsApp on +356 9949 8641. When you walk out of the Mġarr terminal, look right — one of our vehicles with the Gozo Quad Hire logo will collect you.
